Is the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K legal in the UK? How to check it on the MHRA list

Yes it is legal.

It is legal to sell in the UK if it keeps to the same rules as every other vape, and we list it as notified to the MHRA under the TRPR. The TRPR means the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016. They are the rules that set the pod size, the strength limit and the notification step.

Two things on our Juicy Pod Novamax 10K prefilled pod kit page line up with those limits:

  • The pods are listed at 2ml each.

  • The only strength listed is 20mg/ml nic salt.

What do you do if the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K does not show up on the MHRA e cigarette search

UK vape limits: 2ml, 20mg/ml and notification before sale

UK vape limits and where to read them
Limit What it says Where to read it
Capacity Tanks of no more than 2ml GOV.UK e cigarette regulations page
Strength No more than 20mg/ml nicotine GOV.UK e cigarette regulations page
Notification Notified and published by the MHRA before sale MHRA e cigarette search, TRPR 2016
Packaging Labelling and warnings, child resistant and tamper evident GOV.UK e cigarette regulations page

The table follows the GOV.UK e cigarette regulations page, which was last updated on 16 August 2024. The law itself is the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, if you want to read the original text.

The 2ml limit is worded around tanks. Our product page lists the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K pods at 2ml each.

How to check a vape is MHRA notified: the MHRA e cigarette search step by step

Open the MHRA e cigarette search, type the make and product name as printed on the pack, and read what comes back. These are the steps:

  1. Open the MHRA e cigarette search. The page is titled ECIG Dynamic Search and carries an Alpha Release banner that calls it a new service, so it may change.

  2. Find the boxes. When we looked on 19 October 2026 they were ECID/GBID, Submitter Name, Brand Name(s), Brand Sub Type Name(s) and a Product Type drop down.

  3. Type the make into Brand Name(s). For this kit that is Juicy Pod. Do not type the whole retail title in one go, because the register is not a shop and may not use our wording.

  4. Add the model if you get too many results. We list it as Novamax 10K. Try it in Brand Sub Type Name(s) as well, in case the model is filed there.

  5. Use the Product Type drop down if the list is long. It lists several types, including rechargeable, kit, container or cartridge of e liquid, and other. Leave it on Any at first, and narrow by type only if the list is long.

  6. Read the results table. It shows Submitter Name, Product ID, Brand Name(s), Brand Sub Type Name(s), Product Type and Published Date.

What do you do if the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K does not show up on the MHRA e cigarette search?

Try a few other spellings and boxes, and if it still does not appear, email us and do not guess. A missing result on one search is not proof of anything. A name on the register can be different from the name on a shop page.

Before you give up, work through this list:

  • Search Juicy Pod on its own, then add the model.

  • Take out the number. Novamax might be written one way and 10K another.

  • Try the submitter box. Whoever notified a product is not always the name on the front.

  • Clear the Product Type box, because a kit can be filed under a different type to the one you picked.

  • Check the pack for a different spelling and use that.

What does a Juicy Pod Novamax 10K MHRA search result mean? A decision table

What you find tells you something, but only something. A matching entry shows a product with that name was notified. It does not tell you anything about the pack in your hand, so the label check later in this guide still counts.

Is the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K a disposable vape? What the single use vape ban asks for

The single use ban is a separate rule from notification, and it has its own test. The Juicy Pod Novamax 10K is a USB C rechargeable pod kit, as listed on our product page. Whether any product meets the ban test is for you to read on GOV.UK, and we are not going to say a kit passes for you.

The ban has been in force since 1 June 2025. The GOV.UK single use vapes ban guidance is written for businesses, comes from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and shows a last updated date of 3 July 2025. It treats a vape as reusable when it has these parts:

  • A rechargeable battery. A battery you cannot recharge makes a vape single use.

  • A refillable container for the e liquid. GOV.UK gives a chamber, capsule, cartridge, pod or tank as examples.

  • A coil that can be removed and replaced, if the vape has a coil. The coil can be taken out directly or sit inside a pod or cartridge that comes out.

  • Refills and coils that people can buy separately.

On refills, the page says a vape can be refilled either by filling the tank or cartridge with e liquid or by inserting new pre filled pods. So pre filled pods are one way that refills reach the user, and they have to be on sale separately.

We sell the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K replacement pods on their own page. Before you order any, email us to confirm which pods go with the kit. Our kit page says we cannot confirm fit on the page, and we would rather you asked than found out when the parcel arrives. Our pod compatibility guide explains why pods from one device often will not seat in another.

Is a rechargeable pod kit allowed under the UK single use vape ban?

A rechargeable battery is the first thing GOV.UK asks for, so a rechargeable pod kit is not ruled out by that point alone. It is only the first point, though. The container, coil and separate sale of refills and coils in the list above still apply, and we leave it to you to read the page and decide.

The same checks work on any prefilled pod kit we list:

  • Is the battery rechargeable?

  • Can the pod and coil be replaced, and are they sold separately?

  • Does the MHRA search show the product?

What to look for on a Juicy Pod Novamax 10K pack: nicotine warning and strength

Look for a nicotine warning on the pack, the nicotine strength, and any notice that the product is for adults. The GOV.UK regulations page says the rules include labelling requirements and warnings, and that nicotine products or their packaging must be child resistant and tamper evident. Read the page if you need the detail.

Here is what to check when the box arrives:

  • The nicotine warning is printed on the box and easy to read.

  • The strength on the box matches what you ordered. The kit page lists 20mg/ml only.

  • The name and model on the box match what you typed into the MHRA search.

  • The packaging is closed and in one piece.

Juicy Pod Novamax 10K legal questions we get asked

  1. How do you check a vape is on the MHRA list?
Use the MHRA e cigarette search. Type Juicy Pod into Brand Name(s) and add the model if there are too many results. You can narrow by product type too. Names on the register can differ from shop names, so try a few spellings before you decide anything.

  2. What does the UK single use vape ban test say?
GOV.UK says a reusable vape needs a rechargeable battery, a refillable container for the e liquid, and a coil that can be removed and replaced if it has one. Refills and coils must be on sale separately. Read the full page, because the exact wording matters.

  3. Is a rechargeable pod kit allowed?
A rechargeable battery is the first thing the ban asks for, so a rechargeable pod kit is not ruled out. The container, coil and separate sale of pods still have to be right. We list the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K as USB C rechargeable, and we leave the full test for you to read on GOV.UK.

  4. Is the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K notified to the MHRA?
We list it as notified to the MHRA under the TRPR. We do not quote a register entry on this page, because you can look it up yourself in a few minutes. If you cannot find it, email sales@prefilledvapesoutlet.co.uk and we will help you search.

  5. What nicotine strength is the Juicy Pod Novamax 10K?
The kit page lists 20mg/ml nic salt as the only strength. That is the highest strength UK rules allow, so check it is a strength you are used to before you order. The box should show the same strength, so read the label when it arrives.
